The Voice Of The Storm
Public Address Announcer,
Carolina Hurricanes &
North Carolina State Wolfpack Hockey
Since the start of the 2015-2016 National Hockey League season, I have been the arena public address announcer for the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes. Even though you may not know what I look like (until now, I guess), you've heard me announcing a Carolina Hurricanes GOOOOOOOAL! Or maybe announcing a Fat Trick. Or possibly just a CAAAAAANES WIIIIIIIN while the Storm Surge is surging. Whatever the call, I'm living the dream by being a part of the Caniacs' gameday experience. For more on my journey to the Canes PA mic, check out these profiles at CanesCountry and SportsEngine!
When the Canes are on the road, I've been noticed on Twitter for my #RoadGoalCalls, in which I post short goal call videos for road games, in the same style that I would do on the mic at home.
Since the start of the 2014-2015 ACCHL season, I've been doing the same thing for the North Carolina State University IcePack. In addition to calling the action at the IcePlex and PNC Arena, I am also the DJ for the IcePack, providing the game music in addition to the voice.
Scoring And Announcing Goals
Playing in the 2016 Carolina Hurricanes Alumni game, I had a brief moment of internet fame. Skating at right wing during the game, I took a pass from Hurricanes legend Glen Wesley and put it into the back of the net. I then went over to my announcing spot, grabbed the mic, and announced my own goal to the crowd! With that, I appeared on ESPN SportsCenter the next morning, along with mentions in Fox Sports, The Score, and more
Professional Wrestling Ring Announcing
Since 2012, I have been the ring announcer for GOUGE Professional Wrestling in Raleigh. The spiritual successor to Southern Championship Wrestling, GOUGE performs family-friendly pro wrestling with fun gimmicks and exciting in-ring action. With my oldest daughter as the DJ, I am in the ring to get the crowd excited, keep the crowd informed, and play the straight man amongst a crew of huge characters.
As a pro wrestling fan growing up in Virginia, it was a thrill to get the opportunity to step inside the ring with a mic was a dream come true.
Whether we're downtown for the 4th of July, setting up with some food trucks a a local brewery, or in a school or armory somewhere around North Carolina, I always look forward to getting in the ring with GOUGE.

I'm on the mic in many other places. You might hear me announcing and doing play-by-play for the annual Blondes vs. Brunettes charity football game, raising money for the Alzheimer's Association.
You might also find me announcing the Carolina Classic Sled Hockey tournament, giving an NHL gameday experience to some amazing sled hockey athletes.
